I love the idea of Merlin as a vet intern and Arthur was so sweet with the kitten. And that was quite a memorable first meeting for them!

there was arthur and a kitten [*melts*] and snow! and a kitten in the snow! [*flails more*] shelter!gwen and shelter!merlin make me so happy i can hardly speak. there's no question that gaius is the head of shelter or a key board member or something [*nods*]

and arthur is so wonderfully arthur and snarky-but-caring!morgana is always a nice addition. and just-buy-me-a-tie-because-i-can't-be-asked-to-care!uther made me grin

the story is so lovely and the writing so nice (with actual london streets and tube stations which makes me unreasonably gleeful) that i could quote a heap of lines, but i'll stick to this little bit that made me giggle:

Arthur is hit with a childish urge to only show the kitten to Gwen, but then he silently reminds himself that he is supposed to be an adult and above such immature behaviour. At times like this, Arthur finds that adulthood is slightly overrated.and of course i love drunk!arthur snd drunk!merlin gettin it on on christmas eve. i could totes ( ... )

Aww, that was both adorable and warm! Loved Gwen and Morgana, too, and hee, Arthur with the kitty! Oh, the visuals.

Very sweet. I like the idea of Arthur with the kitten & choosing to spend Christmas drunk with Merlin even though it risks Uther and Morgana's wrath.
