BWEEE ANON. I ♥ this lots. You have a good grasp on Merlin's voice, and I like that it's told fully from Merlin's POV.

I. You can’t really hide a shouted enchantment - even if you try to claim you were just screaming nonsense from fear - and he’s sure he’s going to have to come clean with the Prince. bahahaha! This could so easily have been taken straight out of canon - particularly from the last episode. I like that you have Arthur sort-of cottoning on, and I really hope they take that route on the show.

II. I LOL'd a lot at Merlin/Uther's elbow. Because I so easily believe that it is a concern Merlin would have, even with magic already on his mind.

III. I'm such a huge sucker for Gwen & Merlin's friendship that I think this is my favourite part. I love Merlin's reflections on their friendship, about its innocence and his thought that Gwen would worry - yessir, she would! I think this, Because the last time his best friend knew, he got himself killed. is my absolute favourite line in this whole fic. It's heartbreaking, and true,

This is really neat. I love stories about Merlin and Morgana sharing their magic. I especially like that you had Merlin rediscovering the joy of using magic through his friendship with Morgana.
