As an aside, you've sort of reminded me that I'm hoping to see a scene in which Gwen thanks Arthur for what he'd done for her. I sort of found it odd that even with all the awkwardness of that whole situation, she didn't seem to show any gratitude toward him. I hope they'll rectify that later on.
1) What if: Gwen overheard the cont'd conversation of Merlin and Arthur's conversation about a certain prince's feelings. 2) What if: Friggin Uther over heard said conversation! 3) What if: Morgan...lather rinse repeat.
Again, probably not at all what you're looking for. I've had this idea in my head for a while though, and thought I'd try it out.It was a mistake

Urgh. I popped into this post because thefuturequeen is thinking of having a drabblefest/tag event, and got caught up reading everything again.
And realised I absolutely FAILED to comment on this the first time around. You've got Arthur's voice down so well, I almost felt like I was intruding into his brain. And the impromtu proposal was perfectly accidental and perfectly him. And this, This…was a token of affection, a reminder between two lovers, a knight’s gift to his lady. sajgklfdasjhkal if I use the word "perfect" again, will it be too much?
Also, Morgana D: the reminder of her and how she and Gwen used to be hurt. But in a good way, because it, too, was exactly them.
1. Guinevere has the best cleavage in the land. Arthur takes note.
2. PRE-PUBESCENT CAMELOT. Because Gwen was totally Arthur's first crush and it was totally adorable, even if he was a prat of the first order for a few years before admitting it again.

Arthur would never admit in his earlier years the name of the girl he liked. He and his peers were taking note of some of their female peers. They were on the cusp of male puberty at thirteen, admiring the female anatomy for the first time. Before that girls had been disgusting creatures.
But ne never spoke of what happened a few weeks before. He had been playing alone at the very back of the gardens after escaping his nurses and Sir Ector. As he went along he came across a pretty red hair pin. He put it in his pocket and on his way. Time passed him by as he wandered alone when, suddenly, someone invaded his solitude

ASJHDKJSDHKJHW could this BE any more CUTE!? the teasing pre-teen Arthur and sweet little new-maid Gwen is perfect! So adorable, and so in character to their older selves...just perfect!!
This is making me want a whole series on Gwen's childhood...there's a treasure pile of sweet-mixed-sadness there I think.
Here be prompts, because I don't know how long it will take for me to get to writing about the prompt I wanted to do (*grumble* stupid homework - the unfun part of college).
1) Uther finally figures out why his son has been in such a strange mood lately (either happy-in-secret-love-affair or moping/heartbroken from 2x04). Then the king wonders who the woman is. Is he amused? Confused? Wary? (after Sophia debacle) Imagining it's some noblewoman (or even Morgana) and if Arthur might finally want to marry? Does he ask Arthur about it? Does he ask Merlin about it? Does he have someone investigate? Any other ideas of yours?
2) "Absence is to love What wind is to fire; It extinguishes the small, It enkindles the great" - Roger de Bussy-Rabutin
Hey there! I'd actually like to try my hand at both of these. I have the same problem though, it might be next week before they get posted. Just wanted to say that I really like these prompts.

2. Swimming/bathing outdoors.
3. Gwen drinks poison. Arthur holds vigil.
P.S. Thank you for all your kind words, everyone ♥. This fandom really is awesomesauce.
