That was cute. I liked how Merlin was so worried about Uther but Arthur took a much calmer stance about it all.

Thanks. When I sat down to write this drabble last night, I wrote 400 words of completely depressing angst, and promptly deleted all 400 of those words and forced myself to write something fun and light-hearted. Of course, I couldn't completely leave the angst behind. A happy, carefree Merlin isn't really Merlin.

Thanks. This was fun to write. I tend to be on the anxious side, like Merlin in this series, so trying to think of what would shut me up led to some fluff between our boys :-)

Arthur's teasing about being disinherited was a bit mean but still funny. he could see how stressed Merlin is about the meeting with Uther. He's no comedian and should just stick with making out as a stress relief.

My thoughts exactly. Poor Merlin. The last thing he needs is added stress. Arthur really does think he's being suave and helping when all he's doing is adding to Merlin's anxiety. Thankfully, Merlin loves him enough to put up with him.

And yes, it's a really good thing Arthur finally realized just the thing to distract Merlin.
