Wow! What a good metaphor for death- something so well-used left to disintegrate. Not for lack of care but shifted priorities and SNAFUs. Thanks for sharing!

That was quite amazing. Perfect imagery, using an object so closely connected to Arthur and developing it into a sad and poignant metaphor.

What a beautifully laid out look into Merlin's frustration and worry and that damn cloak bleeding and forgotten in wake of events that Arthur refused to heed warnings to avoid. It's heart breaking that with all his power, Merlin couldn't stop his cabbage head King from dying.
