I liked this. If Merlin had used magic to enchant Arthur it would have been a betrayal. Keeping his magic hidden until he feels Arthur can see he hasn't misused it or their relationship is a much firmer foundation for peace.

Merlin's way is clearly better, both for him and for Arthur and for their people, though I worry that Mordred and Nimueh won't leave it at that. Enjoyed this a lot.

I'm sure Merlin has made the right choice! Really liked this piece and I hope for a sequel!
