I enjoyed this dynamic and the world you built here. Both Merlin and Arthur have been forced into this "relationship" and they've both been lucky with who they've been bound to. Another slave might still have been plotting no matter how kind their master was. Another noble may not have been so kind and have earned that knife to the heart.

Thank you so much! I wanted to make it a bit more complicated than just master and slave. Glad you liked it!

This is beautiful - love how they're both trying to do right by each other in this horrible, impossible situation they're in. Thanks for sharing. :-)

Thank you for the gorgeous comment, I'm really glad you enjoyed this. It was interesting to write something a little different, I must admit, so it's great to know it was well received! Thank you :)

You're most welcome - the reading pleasure was all mine. :-D I'm not usually interested in non-con situations in which everything is black and white, so your "something a little different" totally works for me. :-)

I really enjoyed the dynamic between Merlin and Arthur here. It's evident that Arthur does not agree with what his father is doing to the sorcerers and wants to make things right.

Both Merlin and Arthur are fortunate to have found each other and have built up as much trust as one could expect under the circumstances. I highly suspect that they will remain as lovers even after Arthur frees him. <3
