Arthur hadn't expected to be back so early. In fact, if the truth were known, in the early part of the evening he had wondered if he'd even manage to get back to his room at all.

It was how things were supposed to go. He was king, he was supposed to choose a high-born woman with good connections as his queen. The latest of those were King ( Read more... )

I loved this well written look at Arthur hiding behind concern and worry for Merlin to be a sneaky voyeur when he's actually possessive and jealous and totally wants to murder whoever it is that's making Merlin look at someone not Arthur that way.

What a mortifying way for Merlin to out his magic but Arthur's reaction was so awed and reassuring and flabbergasted that Merlin wanted him back that in the end it didn't matter that he'd been caught red handed sexing up a magic doppelganger of his King. Arthur having known about the magic all along was a bonus.

I was grinning at Arthur posting men in the corridor so his virtue would remain unsullied and how it turned out to be a necessary caution. Poor princess, Arthur's bed is already filled with the right person for the job.

This was an incredibly sweet and well developed drabble! It's slightly tragic that Merlin had to resort to a doppelganger, but I'm happy that the real Arthur acknowledged his feelings and it worked out for them both in the end.

That was sweet. I Liked how Arthur kept telling himself that it was for Merlin's own good when it was really about Arthur. Well done.

Thanks :) Yep, it's all about Arthur, however much he tries to convince himself otherwise *g*
