What an intense scene. Arthur is so pent up, brimming with emotion and insecurity and hurt, it's good he has Merlin to share it all with, helping release the pressure that pushes him to self harm. I think given the chance Merlin will be there forever.

Thank you very much. I think Arthur needs someone like Merlin in his life, someone kind and patient and just generally loving, who uses words to raise self esteem as opposed to lowering it. I'd like to believe that Merlin would be there forever if there's a forever after all. Or for as long as Arthur will have him.

I don't see Arthur as the one with the weakness very often, and I have to admit I actually like it a lot, and I really just love gentle and caring Merlin <3
