"Destiny is never comforting" Man, isn't THAT the truth. This is lovely. I really like how Gaius' love and loyalty for Merlin shine through here. Arthur needed to know the truth about his father and the purge. (I only wish they had done that in canon.) Now I have to wonder about that meeting...

I really liked that Gaius wasn't lying again or avoiding what Arthur needed to know. Glad to see Arthur pushing to talk with Emrys at least. Great job.

Poor Gaius. So many truths untold, so many good, innocent people kept in the dark, and Gaius holds all the cards, but can't unburden himself without betraying either the one or the other of his loved ones. I really want to liberate him.
