Yes, Arthur is definitely having a bad time. To be honest, I'm not sure exactly why or what happened. I have a couple of theories, but the truth may come out in another drabble.

Merlin cares too much for Arthur to truly leave him when he is in need, even when Arthur is stubborn.
I'll be looking to continue it, but that may come down to the prompts. We'll see.

Oh my goodness, ARTHUR!!! (sobs) He and Merlin need a hug. This was beautifully written. And it really shows how much Arthur is suffering and shouldering alone. Amazing piece!
