Oh, this is just perfect! First of all, I'm thrilled that you wrote a Kilgharrah fic. I ♥ the dragon something fierce. Second, love the metaphors here. It's so true that Merlin makes him feel vulnerable and that makes him cranky. Well done! You have the hang of drabbles:D

I love Kilgharrah too, but it's not very easy to write him, after all we don't really know much about him. But I'd like to think he has a soft spot for Merlin, and not just because of his destiny.

Thanks! I had a hard time finding good Kilgharrah icons. Here's another dragonlordy icon that I love.

I have a hard time with his voice, but I get very excited when I can write about dragons:) I think that sometimes less is more. There are fewer constraints when we write about Kilgharrah.

I'm thinking about writing about him again. My mom is a big Kilgharrah fan and as she put it I quote 'this dragon has an impish twinkle in his eyes'. I guess she's write.

I mean, I did not make sense to me because he has to be invulnerable. Or he plays it rather convincingly.:)

He wouldn’t show it to anyone, he liked to keep up the undefeatable appearance, but Merlin made him vulnerable, in more ways than one. It made him uneasy and that didn’t sit well with him. They were feelings a dragon shouldn’t know at all. <--LOVE this line, it kind of gave me chills.
