*ugly sobs* I trusted you and you killed Merlin!

Shit, I'm only sorta kidding because this was so well written bb. Excellent imagery.

Huh! And I thought Merlin failing destiny via Arthur's death was bad. This is...worse.

Aww...but, but... Merlin fufilled his destiny and saved Arthur! And, and... Arthur will bring back magic now.... That's not better than an immortal Merlin who failed his destiny?

*pouts*

(That's not to say that I enjoyed killing Merlin. I didn't. Not at all. But it seemed like something he would do!)

Well, technically, Arthur can't fulfill his destiny without Merlin anymore than Merlin can do it without Arthur. They each need the other to be complete, their destinies are inextricably intertwined. So, yeah, in this case you just killed off my favourite half of the pair...

Though mucho kudos on the tricking Mordred thing, that was so cool!

Well, who says that Merlin is actually gone for good? Since he is Emrys and all...

Oooh, I don't like that Merlin had to die, but I love what you did here.

That was very clever, and very painful, but I trust they'll meet again :)

I think I prefer this ending to whatever tptb comes up with. Bravo! Great interpretation of Merlin's vision! (although... Merlin... *meep* *sobs*)
