Oh my. This was excellent. Such a good portrayal of the many disappointments and betrayals Morgana experienced, and the events of what is likely my favourite episode.

I already kind of said this on your post, but I really do feel like everyone failed her. And I never understood why Merlin didn't tell her what was going on in this episode-- giving her some agency in how they handled the situation might not have changed everything, but could have had at least a somewhat different outcome. (Or not, after the year with Morgause...)

Oh, I loved this. The slow realisation that Merlin had poisoned her and that he wasn't the friend she thought he was. Great job.

Thanks! We saw how hard it was for Merlin to decide to poison Morgana and then follow through with it, but I don't think there was enough screen time given to how deeply that betrayal had to hit her. He and Gaius really do bear responsibility toward the direction she went, imo.
