Poor Kilgharrah. I really can't have been easy returning to the place of his imprisonment. But I'm glad the eggs are safe.

Very good chapter. I've never read another fic or really given fair thought to Kilgharrah's life in the cave, which had to have been awful.

I think Kilgharrah's life during that time was pretty awful. He would have felt magic dying and his own kin all slaughtered.

I agree. That would have been an absolutely devastating experience for him.

I've always wondered how Uther managed to capture him in the cavern, but thinking about it from this perspective, it may have been Kilgharrah's only chance for survival, and he would've been grieving and possibly even weakened with the death of magic around him.

I'm sure that one of the dragonlords ordered him into the cave after Uther reassuring them that it would be okay (or else using threats against the families), and then betraying everyone. Probably killed the dragonlord after, too. Uther was certainly an awful person.
