Awwww.... this was so cute! It fits so well into or post 5X05, too. I don't know if that was your intention, but it was the first thing I thought of when I read this. :)

I think you captured what was going on with
Merlin so very well. Loved the description of a dagger going into Merlin as a way of understanding what was making Merlin so depressed. Great job
