This is Arthur at his most stubborn, but I think he's only trying to protect himself from all the terrifying changes.

Arthur is really confused about so much, the world he's been thrust into, how Merlin is the only one he knows, how he's finding out so much about the fact that he didn't know anything of Merlin. Thanks.

The back-and-forth between them is really well written, making it possible to see and sympathize with both sides in their argument.
(All the same, I do feel the urge to smack this Arthur upside the head. Maybe be a tad grateful someone's been waiting around for millennia? Maybe reflect on why you didn't repeal that magic ban even after promises made to the Druids, etc? I know he's confused and off kilter about all that has changed, and that breeds anger. And to him, Merlin's reveal was practically yesterday and he's not had time to digest it. The portrayal is very good and psychologically realistic, I feel.

But still, I have to say I'm Team Merlin here. :)

Thanks so much. I am also very much Team Merlin but they have to get past all those years for Merlin and such a short time for Arthur. I think Arthur will really come to a crisis point when he finally sees Camelot and realize that he's lost everything.

I am trying to write them both as sympathetic characters but sometimes it's hard! Glad you are enjoying it!
