LOL, that's true, isn't it? I was going to say he forgot his tux pants and had to go out for more wearing non-tux pants, but I totally like your idea more!

You do imply *more than the no pants thing* that he left his home with the tux in a garment bag but without the pants inside. Most weddings I've been to have the groom and men getting ready off-site and arriving dressed, so I jumped to this pantsless conclusion based on extrastory factors.
