Ooh, love it.

This is clearly not the nighttime Merlin that Arthur sneaks up on in The Moment of Truth. XD

I wonder if Merlin is quieter and more honest at night because he has run out of the energy to be so purposefully bumbling, or if it's due to some sort of freeing belief that the night will hide his secrets for him.

Oh, but he was just a baby in S1. His more mature side comes beautifully to the fore in later seasons' campfire sessions... I suppose what was at the back of my mind was the one in The Disir.

I think he feels more relaxed and off the hook to play a bumbling manservant act when he's tired and hidden by darkness.
