This is. So. Good. Thank you for linking to the first part. They go beautifully together. The description of the call of Merlin's instincts is so powerful that I feel like I can smell the ocean.

Oh, loved the descriptions of how Merlin is so thirsty and yet he keeps from hurting Arthur. Loved how you linked the sea and the salt and the earth and Arthur being a different kind of drowning. Great job.
