Haha this is so cute :) I love how Arthur is so confused and shaken by Merlin's sullenness, and how insulted Merlin is by the idea that he has no honour.

Sigh. I really want to use that -u- in honor/honour...but I'm not British, and I can't really fake it throughout the whole story, so I'm not sure about using it just for the word honour, or favour.

I love when Arthur shows how much he cares for Merlin, and I particularly love when he's shaken out of his tendency to arrogance. I also love a sullen Merlin, and the fact that he is very clear that he's just as good as any noble.

LOL at both of these two! Good thing Arthur made him sit and listen to reason! :)

Yes, Arthur's bossiness comes in handy sometimes!
(As does Merlin's resistance to being bossed around)

Awwwhhh it's so easy to picture Merlin getting the wrong end of the stick and Arthur struggling to see what he'd done :) This was really sweet

I know, I should probably label all my stuff as potentially dangerously high in sugar and sap. But then your ID starts with 'Jelly'!

Of course Merlin wouldn't understand that. I'm glad Arthur explained what was going on. Well done.

Thank you! I have a question: Do you think the note would be better at the end?

If you want it to be more of a surprise, then the note should go at the end.

However, if you want Arthur to look like a nice guy and not a dick, then leave it at the beginning.

Honestly, I usually don't read the notes until afterwards since sometimes there are spoilers included.
