Oh, I really enjoyed this. The use of second person gives it such a dreamy yet intimate feel. And the hunter/nature imagery is so well done! I particularly loved the line about Arthur mounting the antlers on his wall <3

Thank you! I haven't used second person before, from what I can recall. Whimsy's art felt like it was inviting me in, so I am glad I could recreate a little bit of that feeling in my little fic.

Arthur and his trophy hunting... Rarely goes as planned when Merlin's around.

I really like the various contrasts between the two, but my favorite are the lines about kings wearing gold and emeralds and Merlin wearing oats and berries. And I love the switch in Arthur's perception at the very end.

Thank you. I enjoyed the contrasts, and having Arthur observing but not really understanding, and catching on eventually.

Wow!! This was breathtakingly beautiful, I really enjoyed it. The second person is very well done, and your descriptions really breathe life into the story. I love the contrasts! The ending is just-amazing, seriously, I adore it to pieces. Your writing is so very wonderful and I could read it forever <3

*blushes* Thank you. I have struggled a bit with my writings lately, but one look at Whimsy's art and the muses wouldn't shut up.

It's exciting but at the same time, soothing. I really liked how Arthur learned to humble himself over the years so when the time came to this, he could be on equal ground with Merlin.

Thank you, I am glad I managed to put that idea into words. :)
