It had started off as fun and games. One well aimed water balloon had escalated into a full scale siege which left both Arthur and Merlin looking like they’d been hit by a fire hose.
That started the prank war: salt for sugar, plastic wrap on the toilet seat, Arthur sewing the legs to Merlin’s jeans closed, Sharpie moustache while Arthur slept.
Arthur stealing Merlin’s clothes at the gym (he’d had to walk home in nothing but a Speedo and flip flops) had upped the ante and Merlin was grinning as he liberally sprinkled itching powder into Arthur’s underwear drawer.
