Author's Notes:
"Merlin, hand me that roll of clean cloth," Gaius says.
Merlin quickly passes the roll to Gaius, and Gaius uses it to wrap the bleeding head wound he's been working on.
Gwaine rushes into the makeshift hospital room with his sword drawn and slides to a stop before he hits a stone pillar. "The beasts are at the door!" he shouts.
Leon runs in after Gwaine. He shuts the large doors and throws the bolt. "That won't hold them for long," Leon says to himself. He turns to the room at large, spots Gaius working among the wounded, and says, "We need to evacuate. Now. We have minutes at best."
Gaius and Gwen get to work ordering the less wounded to help anyone they can, and Leon jumps into action to carry one of the unconscious knights.
Before Gwaine can reach any patient, Merlin corners him.
"Gwaine, where's Arthur?"
Gwaine scans the room, but doesn't find the prince among them. "I thought he came in here. I saw him take a blow to the side. The rib-cracking type. I watched him head this way."
"But he's not here," Merlin says.
Gwaine's face drains of color. "Oh no."
"So he's out there and injured. I have to go-"
Gwaine grabs Merlin by the elbow to hold him back. "That's not what- Merlin, the beasts are shape shifters."
"What?"
"And I saw Arthur come this way."
"That means...." Merlin trails off as the horror of their situation hits him.
"That one of them is in here now," Gwaine finishes.
