Last time the clotpole got hit on the head, he’d been loopy for days after. Gaius scowled, giving Merlin the eyebrow of doom, assigning him to read everything ever written on head trauma.
It wasn’t Merlin’s fault this time. The branch came down on its own.
With Arthur hanging onto Merlin, nuzzling his neck, Merlin was beginning to worry. Does he let Arthur’s hands wander? Does he use magic to fix things? Was it even head trauma? Was this the new normal?
But a handsy Arthur made for a happy Merlin.
He’d talk to Gaius tomorrow. But tonight, oh my.
