Morgana was on the offence again, screeching about venues and cake and how Merlin and Arthur’s upcoming wedding would be the talk of London.
Merlin ignored her, kissing Arthur in front of everyone, then pulling him close, whispered, “We could elope.”
Arthur, prat-extraordinaire, stood there, smiling, then muttered back, “A great escape?”
“Meet me in the loo. We can crawl out the window while they think we’re shagging,” Merlin murmured.
“You’re brilliant.”
Merlin smiled. “I also make you scream. Repeatedly.”
“There’s that, too.”
If Morgana threatened his bollocks later, well, fucking Merlin on their wedding night was totally worth it.
