Trying not to salivate at all the implements before him-handcuffs, bailing hooks with edges to tear flesh from bone, tri-bladed knives, explosives that could rend a gut into meat, Aredian nodded to the vendor.
“I was looking for something a little different this time,” he said, slowly, deliberately. “I have my tools. What I need is an outfit worthy of my station. Leather. Black, of course, with skull imprints or a metal-tipped hem to flay a body if needed. Something tasteful, but terrifying.”
When he was done, the vendor lay dead and Aredian was satisfied.
His next assignment: Camelot.
