Whew. Some updates really needed to be made on my LiveJournal profile. My interests hadn’t been updated for a decade, and my biography although written in 2008 was a small novel with information that nobody really needs to know. Now those areas of my profile are up to date and concise

First, I hope you don't make the choice to have kids based on the pressure you feel from others around you having children. It's important that you make such a huge life decision when you're ready, not when others are making those decisions in their own lives. But I'm confident that you and Stephanie will start a family when you feel the time is right.

Second, while me and Amanda aren't drinkers or partyers, we will could be a couple that you and Stephanie can do some of those impulsive things together with. At least to a degree. Amanda is a huge planner, and it's okay if the day itself is not planned to a T so long as we know what day we'd be hanging out in advance. We're actually both pretty busy with work and church commitments during the week so we might not be the best for a last minute meet-up. And we live farther away than many of your other friends. But it's a possibility maybe. I know both of us really enjoyed going to Petra and playing Scrabble with you guys.

We're less so the party-ers and drinkers these days as well. We have some nights, but its not every weekend as it used to be when living in Belltown and prior.

We definitely enjoyed having Amanda and you over for Scrabble after a nice evening out for dinner. I hope it is followed up by that LOTR Risk game after the beginning of the year.

Stephanie and I anticipated that eventually we'd get some slight pressure from parents; and the last couple of times with Steph's family its been mentioned. I would say anywhere between 4 and 9 years the first one will come along. Population and Population control might be a topic I write on in the future.
