Muffinosaur!

For $5 I got an accidental piece of paleoart yesterday at the craft sale. I think the artist may have mixed up cockatiels and cockatoos, but no matter. He asked if he could draw me a dinosaur, I suggested a cocaktiel and got something in-between. I was intrigued by his set up. It was more or less a bunch of Sharpies and a roll of paper on a MALA

That's good you got some new art. I hate what paleo has become. I remember the days of when they thought dinos were slow and stupid but then the change came about with Bakker's book Dinosaur Heresies in the 80s that dinosaurs were warm blooded reptiles. That was great. And then Jurassic Park brought that to the man stream. But I hate the notion of feathered dinosaurs. I don't care what they find they look stupid and not scary at all. For me dinos will always be what I grew up with in the 80s and 90s of fast moving warm blooded reptiles. I'm glad the makers of Jurassic Park feel the same way.

Oh, to have a time machine! I can see some dinosaurs having feathers, but not all of them. It would be so impractical and disastrous for the babies while feathers grew in. Plus molting...would be ridiculous.
