I impulse bought this 36" nylon kite for $9.99 from Bed Bath and Beyond a few months ago and it was finally the perfect summery windy day to test it out! Gorgeous! I never enjoyed kite-flying as a kid but I had a really hard kite to fly.

Thanks :-) I remember kite flying being hard as a kid too - we had these plastic kites. I seem to remember just a lot of running around with a string.

That's great you found that. I had an osprey kite as a kid. I've always sucked at flying kites too. I have no advice to give. It's pretty.

Hehe, I actually had to Google "how to fly a kite". It's a real skill, apparently!

I think my childhood kite was red and white - my brother's had a pair of angry eyes on it.

Oh I remember the angry eyes ones. I used to think they were so ugly.
