Motivational Spam?

My favourites were when I got biblical quotes as spam or as the lead in to particularly graphic porn-spam.

These days, I keep having to tell clients not to accept 'spam comments' that are just "I like your blog" because then you get deluged.

Ooof, totally! I've had those spam comments on LJ too!

I had almost forgotten about the biblical ones. I haven't seen those in years (or Gmail's spam filter is just really really good :-))

My own sweet father is sadly illiterate when it comes to the Internet, but he knows how to send and recieve chain mail and spam. I get at least one of those Biblical Quotes spams a week. You know, the kind that say, "Send this two ten other people and you'll be saved, delete this and God will know you hate him and you'll burn in Hell," some quite litearlly. *le sigh*

I do like that quote, though. Perhaps I should remember it for my own life.

LOL, there's one in every family - Bud's aunt Cathy does the same. The odd gems she forwards are sometimes worth it though.

It is a good quote - it doesn't seem randomly chosen, so it adds a bit of mystery.

It's probably just a new, exciting way to try to get past the filters.
