Fred Dryer was a football player for a long time before he was a TV actor and there were quite a few scenes where he'd be running after bad guys and he could run pretty fast.

Oh man, suddenly those foot chase scenes make a lot of sense! I looked up his football career--quite impressive. I sense he's not acting so much as playing himself.
