Tomorrow, September 30th, is Canada's National Day for Truth and Reconciliation as well as Orange Shirt Day. Canada's past treatment of Indigenous people has, quite frankly, been absolutely terrible and atrocious. The day honours children who never returned home from residential schools as well as survivors, their families and communities

All very distressing - and I'm not sure that people are any better today. They probably just have to be more careful not to get caught.

The violence against Indigenous people still continues despite all the progress, education and awareness. Alberta has a particularly terrible record when it comes to Indigenous children in foster care, even today :S
