I say, fuck them all! They say we lack intelligence for swearing or profess they have a better grasp of the English language? Well I say they show a distinct lack of intelligence for their inability to think for themselves and throwing religion into the mix in forums where it does not belong - like public schools, politics or anywhere outside of home or church. I'd also like to challenge them to a debate to test their proficiency in English.

one of them has the uncanny ability to talk to her fellow coworkers who are all adults like they are 3. I just glare at her.

Sadly, I've already fought the war on religion in my government job and lost. Maybe I'l send the response to the ACLU and see what they think...

With people like that I tend to speak to them the same way they speak to me, if they talk down to me I talk down to them, it's amazing how quickly they'll get their back up when you do. I've actually had someone say to me, "stop being condescending" and I told her she should record herself some time and then get back to me about condescending speech - she shut right up after that ( ... )

I wouldn't say people who cuss (myself included) lack intelligence, but perhaps some social conformity. I do try to be careful in professional environments and around young children. How I speak is not any different from any other way I represent myself (body art, make-up, fashion, hair color, etc).

We all judge people on all of these things. And we all want to be judged by them as well. I mean, we wouldn't dress and speak the way we do if we didn't want it to represent ourselves, would we? My presentation of myself is completely deliberate. Two-way street. They're welcome to judge me how they will, and I will judge them in return. But I don't think judgmental is such a bad word. It's how we pick our friends, our favorite stores, who we trust, where we bank, etc. It's human nature.

representation is important. At work, I have to adhere to the professional environment which includes a certain dress and no cussing. I also don't cuss like a sailor in front of my family.

But if it's me and my friends, were ourselves and anything goes.

There's some kind of drive now to do something as an office outside of work. NOPE. My free time will be spent with people I like and who are more like me!

There's a time and there's a place.

Michael vick is a fuckface who deserves to have his fuckface chewed off!!! heh

Profanity in a professional situation, no. You know my coworkers were not looking at it from a professional but on a society as a whole.

Also, you, your parents... tacky, rude, crass... humph! which NONE of those adjectives describe your mother!!
