Apparently according to their respective reference photos, the one on the left is "Edie Adams" and the one on the right is "Elke Somner." I did the originals in B&W and then did some ghetto colorizing on the Adobe.

My girlfriend got her cell phone stolen a while ago. A lot of our early courting was done via text messages, so I spent the whole day Friday making a 52 page zine with sort of the greatest hits of her texts to me, some funny, some sad (the title is from one of the funny ones). Tonight was the start of a minor vacation for me, so I spent it watching random youtube clips and drawing in my sketchbook. It felt good to draw again without work hanging over my head like a black cloud. The last drawing is an illustration of one of my favorite lines of dialogue in a movie ever. Another horrible comic of my youth. I'm still not sure if the "cram every possible thing that happens in the comic on the cover" design really works, but I bought it anyway, probably coz of the promises of nudity.
