I didn't mind the bouncing ideas off of me. I liked hearing about what you were planning for this, and I'm definitely excited about it now. Can't wait to see the rest of this, especially since it's off to such an amazing start.

That is in no way a bad thing. It's very, very good. In fact, I'm sending little mental waves of encouragement to your head. I think that you can keep everything straight, and move on to the sequel.

That's what I thought until I told Maynard, and made her headdesk rather hard...so hard in fact, that I heard it clear up here! *snickers*

*absorbs mental waves* This should keep the plot bunnies alive until I can convince her a sequel would not be a bad thing. XDDDD

Thank you! Yeah, it is...interesting. XD It was rough going at first and re-reading this chapter made that clear to me; however, as we both got into it and figured out where we were going, it flows better the further in you get *winks*.

Evil police force? Ha! You have no idea! Everyone in Midgar is corrupt, 'cept maybe Zack, but he's never been with the program since the beginning! *laughs* Thanks for reading...and commenting, you are a rare breed indeed! ^^

I'm curious to see your take on our familiar characters. Not just Cid and Vinny -- a few familiar names have popped up and I'd love to see everyone fleshed out in this new setting.

Can't say I don;t like this -- I do but I'm waiting to see how Cid and Vince would interact.

Here's me waiting for more.

That's certainly valid, and I respect that! ^^

As far as "fleshing out characters" there are just simply too many to have in-depth profiles on them all. This saddens me a bit, but this fic would be unforgivably long, and peeps would get seriously bored if we did that, so we just focused upon the 'main players'. There is already so much to keep track of!

The one big thing to keep in mind here (which you know)is that this fic is extremely AU. There was no Meteor, no SOLIDER program, and Vin does not have his "demons", for all extents and purposes, these characters are 'human'...mostly *winks*, but we'll get to that. So naturally that leads us to the fact that Cid and Vin have never met before (formally), so they have to 'get to know each other'. The summary just does not give the piece real justice, which bums me out a little, but I cannot exactly give a page long synopsis if ya know what I mean *winks*. This style/concept is new to us, and RP'ing so many different characters, and their interactions is really tricky, but we ( ... )
