OHhhh....

Ohhh, THIS one. This was a fantastic fiction. Just...glorious. So sad, yet HAPPY and perfect in every way. A fitting, just end for our Donna.

Donnnnnna. She deserved so much more :(

Many fans seem to take it as read that the mysterious 'woman in the shop' of season 7b - the one who gave Clara the Doctor's phone number - was River Song; but my first thought was that it was Donna. Those other fans are probably right, given the way Moffat won't stop ramming River Song down our throats. But wouldn't it be lovely if it were Donna after all?

That wasn't intended as a comment on River Song as a character, but rather on Moffat's approach to showrunning, which I feel emphasizes show over tell. River is one of many examples, who just happened to be the pertinent one as relates to the 'woman at the shop'.

No doubt, there are Moffat fans hereabouts too, to whom I wish much felicity of their turn in the Who spotlight. With such a longrunning show, inevitably, there will be bits you don't like; but the converse is that, if you're patient, the bits you don't like will prove just as finite as the bits you do. So. /shrugs. My two cents, fwiw.
