Oh, love. So gorgeous, the tangling and bittersweet; your words. Callum, I'm trying really hard not to succumb to writerly envy as you know I'm wont to do, because this is so beautifully written. Instead, I'll be inspired by it. :) I don't know where to start! You've captured so much of these two with a quiet pulsing of images, from their younger anger and insight. This phrase: he heard the clack of sharp, expensive soles on stone: Malfoy’s shoes. Eyes watering, Ron wondered why money always sounded so good. I had to reread a few times; that detail is just delicious, and for Ron at that point, it's so true! And later, once they're together, Ron seeing his own strength and nurturing Draco, to their mutual surprise, perhaps. You're a poet, my dear, and it rings through this, the fiery imagery and density of color, though with Draco's paleness, it shines luminously. Their passion, you've captured so well. I just- I'd only end up defeating myself in trying to tell you how gorgeous this is, and how honored I am that you wrote this for me ( ... )

I'm loving the R/D icon, I guess I've probably seen it before but not noticed it until in this context.

Glad you liked it. It was quite a challenge writing Ron/Draco although I do feel slightly better about it, strangely, after DH. I can kind of see the dynamic of broken!Draco coming to terms somehow with other characters on the opposing side at a later stage. I can't say it's a pairing I'm likely to return to often but it was good to try out something different. Most of all it was nice to be able to 'give something back'. Just sorry it couldn't be a 50K whopper about R/H but maybe another time eh? :-) ::mwah::

Oh...

This is so beautiful, callumjames. I just...I think I'd only sully it with my words.

Gasping, collapsing, falling down and down through tides of come and sweat and smell and with their hearts almost stopped in their chests, Draco finally fell forwards, laid his head in the nook of Ron’s shoulder, breathed into Ron’s neck and mewed as they held each other and each in their own way knew the past was now their friend.

My word; I feel like I was there. I'm overwhelmed.

Hiya sexy,

Thanks for popping in to read this. And most of all for commenting. I'm really hopeless at keeping up to date with LJ and people 'n' stuff like that but I do appreciate the support you've offered in your comments on my tiny little LJ set of stories. Thank you! :-)

Hi. I am here via Thevina's post. I am really glad that I read this.

The way that you put together words is just astounding. This was a very emotional piece and I am glad to have read it!

hiya, lovely to see you here - you'd pretty mucvh have to be here via Thev cos I don't go out of my way to publicise my stories so I'm not sure vast crowds will be reading it. It's great that you stopped by though and thanks for leaving a comment, it really is lovely to hear from readers

That was amazing. The minute Thev rec'd it, I knew it was going to be brilliant. Because let's face it when she does go out of her way to tell us to read something it's always amazing. And she didn't fail, because the way you write my favorite pair astounds me. The moments, the emotions, the ups and the downs, were all just so heartfelt and sometimes hurtful, but still always with a bright outcome in their reach.

Slipping a hand onto Draco’s belly he heaved his pelvis forward and held Draco tight while they fucked, slowly, leaving time and history behind them.

Killed me that did. I am in awe of your writing and I am now in serious fangirl mode...lol.

Loved it. Thank you so much for sharing this with us or allowing Thev to share it with us, it brightened up my dreary day.

Hello Hannah,

I love the way that HPslashy people pick out lines they liked in stories, it's happened to me on a number of occasions that people have done that with my stories. The huge irony is though that a some point in the writing of this I was chatting to Thevina at the same time as writing and said 'i've just written the best sentence ever in your story' - and no one has even mentioned it yet! Ho hum. R/D has always been a bit outside my sphere of interest but it was great fun to do, not sure i'll go there too often, I think I might have said pretty much all I have to say about them in this one but we'll see.

Glad you liked it.

Thanks for commenting - it really means a lot.

Huh? You got me? What's the line, I must know...lol.

I should be thanking you, it was a real breath of fresh air to read this, so thank you.

The line I liked best was:

"The funerals were over; the long, bleak processions of which still marched endlessly through Ron’s dreams making his bed seem not like his own every morning when he woke."

although, looking at it now I realise that the rhythm would be better if it ended:

"...not like his own when he woke each morning."

but I prefer hearing what lines other people liked. :-)

Hiya,

I'll take that as you liked it then! Thanks for reading and commenting. I love that 'word' - 'Guh' - must try and use it at least once a day :-) And fab icon too!

Thank you...
