"Even though I didn't have control over it, I feel guilty for not remembering their faces." Though the faces have come back with a vengeance with the memories.
"No one did. Look at Mary Margaret and David. True love, and they didn't remember each other." That was one of the more tragic cases. "There was a connection, yeah, but they didn't remember." He didn't either. He didn't even really remember Gepetto, who he'd watched grow up from a small boy to old man.
"You know I wondered about that." Red said after a minute of thought. "True Love is the most powerful magic there is, so do you think that was why Regina had David in a coma?" She probably hadn't been expecting Mary Margaret to read the story of Snow White to David.
"Maybe." Archie knew that was a possibility, that that was how Regina circumvented their true love. "But they on their own couldn't break the curse, it had to be Emma for that. So I don't know."
Red paused, trying to put her thoughts into words. "There's one thing that I don't understand." She smiled wryly, "well one of the many things, but if Emma was the one to break the curse and Regina kept her memories, why would she adopt Henry who was Emma's son? She had to know that sooner or later ---" Red stopped, "I bet she didn't know that Henry could leave."
Then she'd made the best of it when he brought Emma back. That must have scared and pissed the Queen off.
