It's Jimmy with the crapped out heart and all he wants to do is go say goodbye to Amelia and he's furious, furious when Jacob pulls up in the mud outside a tent. snarling "THIS you believe in? THIS?" and tugging the MIT sweater like he wants to rip it off and strangle his brother with it because he remembers eighteen christmases and easters of Jacob's eyes rolling all the way through mass. and Jacob is like, I WILL BELIEVE IN ANYTHING THAT WILL SAVE YOU, his hands gripping the steering wheel too tight, avoiding Jimmy's eyes. and when the service starts and Jimmy gets called up he feels sick because Jacob

Oh my god yes, Jacob's faith entirely centered around Jimmy, utterly pragmatic and that's not fair, Jacob, that's cheating, but Jacob will break whatever rules he must. It turns out, in the end, that the healing had nothing to do with God at all, and Jacob just shrugs and pulls further into he skepticism. He got what he wanted.
AND DO THEY THINK OF THIS INCIDENT, LATER, WHEN JACOB IS GOING TO HELL AND JIMMY IS THE ONE BREAKING RULES?
OH MY GOD JACOB/ATROPOS, FUCK DESTINY BUT LITERALLY. JIMMY/ATROPOS WOULD HAVE ALL THESE SAD SHADES OF THE THINGS JIMMY USED TO BELIEVE IN, THE PERSON HE USED TO BE, AND SHE WANTS TO GIVE HIM A PATH TO FOLLOW AGAIN AND OH IT WOULD BE SO EASY.
OK, so one of the things I really like about this 'verse is how up front the mishacest is. It's a different dynamic than the way that Sam/Dean *can* be seen but isn't necessary to the show. Novakcest verse, the Jimmy/Jacob is um, kind of the point :D
AND THIS. THIS IS LIKE A WHOLE NEW FIC FORM. Chat-poetry-fic? Something like that and I liiiiiiike it.
MISHA'S FAAAAAACE, I WANT TO ABUSE IT FOREVER. BUT LOVINGLY. AND INCESTUOUSLY.
(The world through Wincest's eyes hahahahahaha.) It's so much fun, though, the additional layers of meaning and ~*~feelings~*~ that arise when you just go for the incest, embrace the incest and everything makes so much more sense. Of course they will die for each other, of course they get too close and have too much friction and can wound each other too deeply. BECAUSE THEY'RE IN LOVE.
Poetic chatfic? Chat prosetry? We should come up with a snappy portmanteau. Chatetry? IT'S REALLY AWESOME BECAUSE WE CAN JUST HAVE FEELINGS AT EACH OTHER AND THEN OTHER PEOPLE WRITE US FIC.

for a while after the skin incident they don't talk about, they're totally off they don't work well on hunts both of them constantly avoiding the topic, but REALLY BLATANTLY it's like walking around the edge of a hole in his mind without looking in it but he always knows it's there
NEEDS MORE JACOB FEELINGS. Omg, what does he do in the now-empty motel room? Does his resignation protect him from the slap of rejection? He should have known better than to hope.
Jacooooooooob. He had almost talked himself out of it so many times at MIT, remembered Jimmy with Amelia and Claire at the funeral, convinced himself that Jimmy was over him as surely as Jimmy was halfway across the country trying to tell himself the same thing. And he should have known the shifter wasn't his brother, hasn't he spent his whole life telling apart identical faces, and maybe somewhere he did know but he was too desperate to hear everything he's been waiting for. That familiar rush of pride simply at being right, and then the fragile hope that it will be real, that Jimmy isn't going to shove this aside again even though Jacob KNOWS, can't Jimmy tell that Jacob knows?
When Jimmy kisses him he knows it's the shifter. He kisses back anyway.
