On this, my mind went two ways:

1. Claire spends hours talking to the dog, disappearing with it on long walks that she refuses to allow other people to join and returning out-of-breath. She pitches a fit when her parents suggest letting it sleep somewhere other than Claire's bed, its head on the same pillow. The dog is always by her side, and growls when anyone comes too close, but not because it is afraid.

2. Jimmy and Amelia come home to find a pool of blood, a pile of bones and fur, and Claire washing her hands in the kitchen sink.

3. It's kind of awkward to wage war against Heaven when your girlfriend's dog has wandered off with your thigh bone.

I like the music in this. Like, humans as the instruments, angels as the kinetic energy of the hits or the wind, and then trying to define the sound that the two produce. unf. Claire joins choir and everyone hates her because she's never singing in tune with the other girls, she's been tuned to a different frequency, she harmonizes with the trees when she sits underneath them.

Castiel used to sing so well, but he's spent too much time with humans; there's a rasp to his music that never quite goes away, even a year after he's been in his vessel.
