Congratulations. Katie will probably feel better before 9 months. She will probably only feel crappy for the first trimester, at worst. Eating lots of toast or crackers or other starchy snacks should help with the ick. I slept a lot for the first month, but then I was fine until about 8 months when things got icky again. Your mileage may vary.
I concur with the "it'll get better" on the pregnancy ick thing. My morning sickness (usually worst about 4pm) was typically relieved by increasing my blood sugar. It was rough to learn to do the totally nonintuitive and eat when I felt icky, but it worked every time. Even just an ounce or two of juice to help pop me over that threshold so eating "real" food sounded appealing. And the first trimester I wanted to sleep about 18 hours a day. I have no idea how people maintain work/school under those circumstances. But it definitely eases off during the second trimester.

You know, we *still* haven't gotten together for anything. And now Drea's in town, too.
