I love Christmas, I really do. I go a bit mad every year. But this year, I've been so busy, time has flown by and I'm not enjoying it as much as I normally do. Plus, there's lots of stuff going on, in my life and the lives of people I care about. I'm tired. Really really tired, but I have to finish writing out Christmas cards for people at work. I know what you mean: people make fun of me for starting my Christmas stuff (shopping, packing, cards, and all) so early, but one year I had started late and it was terrible. I was playing 'catch up' all through December so that I couldn't relax and enjoy anything.... So now I don't care if people laugh, I start early so that I can sit back and go to see 'A Christmas Carol' or go out caroling, or whatever, without being rushed.

I do hope you are managing to have some fun! Because Christmas really is totally awesome and should be enjoyed.

This year I started knitting over the summer and STILL am finishing last minute projects. I guess in 2010 I have to start even earlier AND I have to start my cards and all that in October! Lesson learned.

This year I didn't get any presents for anyone. I just didn't have the money, but I did want to send out cards. I'm glad I did, because it's all people got from me. I'm hoping next year will be better.

I do love this time of year also.

Yes, but your cards are fantastic and special!! No one that knows you cares about not getting a present from you anyway.

I came home early from work and threw off Horatio's internal clock so now he's tearing around the house like a crazy kitty jumping all over and into everything.

I might need a nap.

Thanks. I try to make the cards special enough so people can think of them as a tiny present.

Just wait. It gets way worse as you get older. I think by the time I'm 60, I'm going to be clinging to the earth afraid I'll be flung away, time will be moving so fast!
