Also: my mother isn't writing a book, but she occasionally sends me random letters for funding she has to write for girl guide camp funds or as part of applications to go to camps, and it is scary as heck.

I KNOW RIGHT?! I mean, I don't know how much to change, it needs a lot of work, and she promises not to get defensive if I change things or make suggestions, but...it's just awkward no matter what.

My mother can't spell Thursday, so I cannot really relate, but whenever I have to proofread something for my parents it is never a good idea. Proofreading a book by your mom about your sister soiunds... not fun.
Also there can never be too much Handy-and-Rose-being-BAMF-in-Pete's-World.

Also you will be pleased to know I have completed my fic exchange which means I actually started working on the next chapter of that fic. Hurrah! Omg it is so much more fun to write than the fic exchange was.
