1. I'm sick.  Like not "on my deathbed" sick, but more like "I have a cold and feel lousy and want to whine about it" sick.

2. I had a fanfiction breakthrough.  I had started attempting post-JE Doctor Who fic, decided it was sucking, gave it up except for poking at it occasionally, then decided it was too much wangst-wangst-wangst and not enough

Ugh. Aside from the fact that being there for the Inaguration would be cool, I am so glad I don't live there right now.

Also: my mother isn't writing a book, but she occasionally sends me random letters for funding she has to write for girl guide camp funds or as part of applications to go to camps, and it is scary as heck.

Seriously, they are telling the locals to, like, stock up on food and bottled water. There is no chance I am even going to leave my apartment that day...I'll watch it on TV. If I get TV. Apparently I will not have cell service or internet.

I KNOW RIGHT?! I mean, I don't know how much to change, it needs a lot of work, and she promises not to get defensive if I change things or make suggestions, but...it's just awkward no matter what.

Oh man I feel bad for DC. 2-4 million people is probabbly more peopel than I have ever been around in my life, so.

My mother can't spell Thursday, so I cannot really relate, but whenever I have to proofread something for my parents it is never a good idea. Proofreading a book by your mom about your sister soiunds... not fun.

Also you will be pleased to know I have completed my fic exchange which means I actually started working on the next chapter of that fic. Hurrah! Omg it is so much more fun to write than the fic exchange was.
