There is a cashier at the Border's near work who always seems to be the one checking me out when I am buying something embarrassing.  I swear she recognizes and judges me.  She was the one I got when I bought the Twilight books, and today I got her when I was buying...wait for it...a High School Musical 3 CD.  IT'S A CHRISTMAS PRESENT FOR MY SISTER

LOL I AM ALWAYS ASHAMED TO BUY THINGS TOO. Last time I was in the States I possibly bought one or three of the Doctor Who novels, you know, for, um, research and I just kind of try to hide it between my Kite Runner and Mitch Albom.

Also, I am seeing Twilight tonight. I am unsure right now if I wil be paying for it or not. I am hoping for 'not'.

I am not paying as I flatly refused to so my friend has said she will pay for me if I go with her. We are going late in hopes of avoiding tweenage fangirls. I predict we will not be successful at this.

How are the Doctor Who novels? I mean, not that I was thinking of buying them or anything, I'm just asking out of idle curiosity...

I'm going to a 9:30 show, which is probably just after the tweens but just admist WE'RE SO COOL highschoolers. It will be an adventure. At least we didn't go last night?

They're, um, I dunno, they're definitely kids' novels x 100 but they're entertaining enough? I got one with Martha and I didn't like it much, the plot was confusing for.. somethign written for like 9 year olds. The other two are with Rose and I've only read the one, but it's... better than the Martha one. And the third one, which I haven't read, I mostly just bought because it features Jackie and Mickey, and the world neads moar Mickey and Jackie.

The first one with Rose also possibly opens with her sleeping under his coat on the jump seat whle he fiddles with stuff, which was adorable enough for me to flail and ignore the fact that what I am reading is liek second grade reading level.

We're going at 10:20 and I predict it will be a combination of tweenagers who are "OMG we get to stay up past our bedtime!", high schoolers, and possibly groups of creepy Twilight Moms who, like, went out for dinner and drinks first because they're making an evening out of it.

Well, Borders girl already thinks I'm listening to High School Musical, so I really have no room left to be embarrassed about my reading material. Besides...like you say...research...

What was that one called not that I would buy it just for that except I would because that's SO CUTE and whatever second graders miss the subtext...

Oh, I expect the lulz to be considerable. I have the feeling it's the kind of movie that will act so srs bsns about itself, combined with Meyer's dialogue? I'm going to have a hard time keeping quiet.
