"Looking for anyone in particular?"

Riley O'Dannihugh was perched two bar stools away, half way through a dark beer. He flashed the girl his pearly white smile and gave a little wave. Even after a few beers, Riley was almost positive he recognized her from somewhere, but no name came to mind.

"Or are you a lone wolf, my dear?" My dear. That would do for now.

Natalie turned her head at the sound of a nearby voice, but didn't see the speaker right away. People kept ducking in between her and the neighboring bar stools to talk to the bartender. After craning her neck a few times, she finally caught a glimpse of the man sitting a few feet down from her.

"No one in particular. Just someone I know. Or someone who I might like to get to know." Her tone was matter of fact, but not bored. "I am," she answered to his second question. "And yourself?"

"Oh, I'm never alone," He inclined his head toward his glass, now full of fresh beer. Riley slid down from his bar stool and sauntered over to the lady, beer in hand.

"But I suppose if we're only counting living things," he shrugged, then took a drink from the glass, "Stag."

Natalie straightened up as he came to stand near her. "Ah," she nodded, "It's good that I know your strengths up front." She gave him a quick once over with her eyes before they settled on his glass of beer. It was painfully obvious what she meant.

"I thought men always traveled with at least one wing man," she commented before taking a long drink from her own glass.
