very pretty. Here, we are having a hard time getting started but the azeleas are blooming like crazy. The daffs at the front of the building have bloomed, and some of the flowering trees are flowering.

Both plants are lovely. As for the nettles...you can console yourself that they are a favored food of the lovely red admiral.

Very true. Or I could make nettle soup.
I can't leave them all as they're monsters and I don't want pieces of root in the compost.

Must be a good year for foxgloves as I've got a dozen or more that have appeared from nowhere.
And a ground cover of rather too many aquilegias - lots of colour to come.

I hope you like foxgloves as much as I do! I think they're my favourite flower after primroses and I can never have too many. I don't mind the aquilegias everywhere, either; I like the foliage.
