I always enjoy reading your reviews, often making me wish I could read everything you have enjoyed. Some interesting titles and stories here. I think I'd like most things that are set during WW1. The Adam Faith book was a good find for you, you are a fan are you not? Shame about the Granchester book. I'm still a little sad that Sidney has left the TV series :/

Thank you!

Yes, I still like Adam, after all these years.

I still watch Grantchester but Geordie is now the star; TBH he always was, for me! He's developing super-powers, though; solved a crime last week without a shred of evidence!

I like Geordie but then I've always liked Robson Green's characters, and I've a growing fondness for Leonard.

You mean the bit about the Buddha statuette in the last line of the Moray Dalton afterword? You are right, I incorrectly recalled that bit when I wrote the afterword, I regret to say. First time I think that ever happened! I hope to correct that. By the way it's Curtis Evans as you can see. Thanks for pointing out.

That's being corrected now. I'm sorry for that slip. In the introduction I alluded to the guilty being punished in the last chapter, if you know what I mean, so I don't know what happened with the slip about the name and the Buddha in the afterword, which was written later. I have a theory but there would mean spoilers. I also see I referred to "Henrietta" twice in my draft, I don't know whether that was corrected. I think I must have had a certain person on the brain. Of course as you know the afterword was mainly addressing another point, which is why I wanted to write it. I only very rarely write afterwords, I think it's been three times.

That was quick work! I'm sorry if my comment seemed hyper-critical; I can see how it could happen.

I enjoy the books and your introductions.

Oh, no, I'm glad you pointed it out, I just wish I'd read your blog piece six weeks earlier! I haven't actually received copies of the DSP Dalton books yet, sigh. I'm glad you liked the book even if you thought the heroine was a bit of a noodle. I loved the family dynamics, would love to see this filmed, but you'd need some really good performances in certain roles! I hope you read Death in the Cup, that's another top one in my view. I blog at The Passing Tramp, you may know (or not). I had a bit of trouble making those comments, glad they came through.
