Wartime stories are so often great so throw in a crime angle and it's a sure winner.

To my surprise, some Amazon reviewers objected to the wartime angle.

Oh, I feel so much better, thank you, even if it's a little chilly! And it rained yesterday. Real rain, though nothing like the downpour that wiped out the cricket at Lord's on Thursday.

I had to don a fleece yesterday but it's due to be warmer today. We had more than an inch of rain here on Thursday and several heavy showers yesterday. The garden looks so much fresher :)
