I always love reading your monthly lists as there's usually something that appeals to me on there, The Lake House on this occasion. I suspect September is going to be a good book month for you as well :)

I'm so pleased if people get ideas from what I write. I think Kate Morton's books are getting better. I enjoyed The Secret Keeper.

Who knows what September will bring? :-)

Autumn is another really attractive looking edition, isn't it? Like you though, I prefer the older entries, but still really enjoyed it. The Molly Thynne series looks very good. Dean Street have alot of great offerings right now. Also if you search under Kindle ebooks with their name and sort the results from low to high they frequently give a couple of titles away for £0 (not including the ones on Kindle Unlimited). Yesterday I picked up a Wentworth (Jane Smith) and a Punshon that looks fun for nothing. I love the way their prices are very reasonable too. There's a, sadly non Dean Steet, Japanese Ninja Historical mystery series I'd love to try, but they're priced at over £8 which feels a bit steep. Thanks as always for the fab reviews and sharing what's on your pile!

The Dean Street Press people seem really nice, as well as offering great reprints at good prices. And later this year they're bringing out the Furrowed Middlebrow books; all titles which are almost impossible to find.

Thanks for the tip about the free ones, I'll certainly look into that.

Glad you still find my jottings useful!
